Full View of Jane Bradbuirye
Jane Bradbuirye, a brass rubbing, artist unknown, 1578.
Before Internet photos of Brass memorials made effective use for costume research, brass rubbings of those same memorials were taken instead for study.
This woman is wearing a plain French hood with a short panel of fabric. She is also noted as wearing a loose gown.
