There are a variety of people shown in this woodcut. This detail shows one English woman whose sleeves were of interest to me. Perhaps this is how the foresleeve of a kirtle is attached under the larger gown sleeves. Sleeves like this are more commonly seen in Italian images, and this is the only English image I have found so far that shows this.
