Man's Blue Velvet Henrician Ensemble:

Back View of Full Tudor Ensemble

Back view of the full blue velvet Henrician ensemble, on a dress dummy. The detailed slash & puff of the doublet back is mostly hidden by the jacket, but can be seen here at the upper shoulder area. Should the client chose to not wear the jacket, the whole back view of the doublet can then be seen.

I want to point out that the rolled pleats on the skirt required five times the amount of fabric for pleating, so this made the garment heavier than expected. This is a garment fit for a king, with conspicuous consumption of fabric. I would suggest for most people to make a circular skirt that is pleated (box pleats are one suggestion) to fit. It will drape just as nicely, and will be lighter in weight.
