Man's Blue Velvet Henrician Ensemble:

Henry VIII

Henry VIII, after Hans Holbein the Younger, sometime after 1537.

This is a copy of the Whitehall wall painting, that was lost in a fire in 1698. The original was a full sized likeness of Henry VIII that stood with similar sized images of his father, Henry VII, his mother, Elizabeth of York, and his favorite wife Jane Seymour. The original cartoon drawing still survives, as does a copy of the wall image.

I used this as closer to the original reference to the period stylel, especially of this specific fashion which my client wanted duplicated. The codpiece is here, and other small details that are missing from the Norris copy of this image.
