Men's Garment Myths
Myth: Men's' clothing should fit like today's garments, loose, baggy
and hang off the hips.
Doublets should be tight fitting to the body, not loose like with modern
jackets. Think body hugging vests, not potato sacks. The waistline is
at actual waist at side and back, Peascod style slopes down over the belly,
and is meant to emphasise the stomach.
